Where is the Remedial program offered?
The Remedial program is held only at our Maumee All Star Education Center (3421 Briarfield Blvd. Maumee, OH 43537).
Is the Remedial program approved by the state of Ohio?
Yes, the All Star Ohio Remedial program is approved by the Ohio BMV (Bureau of Motor Vehicles). The Ohio Remedial program is mandated by the state of Ohio for the reinstatement of suspended licenses or removal of points from your driving record. This 8-hour Adult Remedial Course meets the requirements for a 12-point license reinstatement, a reinstatement for operating a motor vehicle after underage consumption and a 2-point credit in Ohio.
How frequently can I complete the Remedial (2-Point Credit) Course?
You can complete the Remedial program once every three years and up to five times in a lifetime. Ohio residents with at least 2 points but less than 12 points on their driving record may be eligible for a two-point credit.
How many days is the program?
The 8-hour program is normally conducted in a one-day class. There is no required driving.
What do I need to bring to the class?
- Valid Photo identification
- Driver’s License Number – If you do not have access to your Driver License number you can obtain it by calling 614.752.7500 or logging on to OH BMV website.
- If you are taking the course to fulfill a BMV requirement, you will receive documentation from the BMV that you can submit to the BMV upon successful completion.
Will I get a certificate of completion?
A certificate of completion will be issued to you at the end of the class (same day).
Can anyone complete the Remedial program?
Yes, anyone can complete this program. It is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are looking for a refresher course.
Does taking this class mean I can apply for insurance discounts?
Before you enroll, contact your insurance provider to inquire about whether or not they offer a discount.

What do I do if my Certificate of Completion is lost or damaged?
Certificates of Completion are uploaded to the student portal for easy access, under the Student Files section, they are also emailed to you so you can save, and reprint as needed. (If you started class before. May 1st, 2022, a Request for Duplicate Certificate form must be completed and submitted/cost is $15).
What if I drop out or want a refund for the program?
No refunds are issued after the class begins. All other approved refunds are subject to a $5 processing fee, can take up to 10 business days, are credited back to the card on which they were purchased and are issued only to the person who paid for the program. A full refund will be issued if All Star must cancel your course/program and cannot provide an acceptable alternative.
*No refund is due to students who have been expelled from an All Star program.
*There is a $30 return check fee for all returned checks.
