How long will this course take to complete?
That depends on your individual pace. In Indiana, all drivers’ education courses must be at least 30 hours. You can always go at your own pace and log in and out at your convenience. You will have 180 days to complete the entire program.
What if I am unable to complete the class in the 180 days required?
You may purchase a 180-day extension to your class for an additional $20.00. This will allow you to continue without losing your work. You must contact us before the original 180 days have expired. You must call to make the payment at 1-800-967-7719.
What do I need to get started?
We require a copy of the Indiana Online Contract before we can “unlock” the account for the student to begin actively working on the course. This contract can be completed on your account once you log in.
How long can I work on the course?
Students can only work up to three hours per 24 hours. If you need to leave for any reason make sure to log off, the system will save your progress. If you don’t log off, then the timer will continue to run even if you are not actively working on the course. Once you hit the daily time limit, you cannot work on the course again for 24 hours.
How old do I have to be to start driver education?
You can be 15 years old to begin your driver education course.
Where do I send my contract?
Once you have completed the Online Contract signed by both parent and student, it can be uploaded into your account and found under the files section.
How will I know when I can start the course?
As soon as we receive the contract, we will send a notification that will let you know your account is ready to be accessed!
When will I get my Certificate? Teen students only
Your certificate of completion can be downloaded from your online account. Please contact us if the information is incorrect. You can always verify your information on the Record tab on your account. Your enrollment certificate will automatically be emailed to you after you enroll in an online class.
If you are only taking the online driver education program, you will need to get your CDE (Certificate of Enrollment) form from the “in-car” driver education school and send us your permit number when taking your test at the BMV.
If you are taking the “in car” driving training with All Star Driver Education, we will email your “Enrolment Certificate form 37358” to get your learner’s permit. Please verify your email in the Records tab on your account. Check spam if you don’t see it in your inbox.
