Where can I take a motorcycle test?
All Star Driver Education offers the motorcycle skills test in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Do you offer motorcycle classes before taking the test?
We do not offer the motorcycle classes, please check with a local SOS for more information on where you can take classes at.
Do you offer a rental vehicle?
We do not have a rental available for motorcycle testing. You must bring your own bike (that meets the below requirements). You are legally not allowed to drive yourself to the test site as you are not licensed to drive a motorcycle until after your test.
The vehicle the student brings with them to the motorcycle test must be road-worthy and safe, and also must be 100 cc’s or more. The following equipment must not be damaged, inoperative or missing. Check the box next to each item to indicate you understand these requirements.

- Handlebars are no more than 15 inches between the lowest point of the unoccupied seat and the Handle bar grips.

Does a student have to be 16 years old to take a Motorcycle test?
A student will need to be 16 years or older with a valid driver’s license in order to take the motorcycle test. If you are under 18 years of age you will need to have parental consent to take a motorcycle test.
What training is required to be eligible for a motorcycle test?
Regardless of your age you MUST have a motorcycle endorsement (permit) to be able to take a motorcycle test. If you do not have this at the time of your test (registration) you will not be allowed to test. This will be considered a document failure and you would have to pay again in full for another test.
How do I sign up for an appointment?
Appointments can be made online, or by calling our corporate office. You must have your motorcycle endorsement and your payment ready with a Mastercard, Visa or Discover in front of you to schedule an appointment (we also accept pre-paid).
What should I bring to the motorcycle test?
You must have the following documentation in order to test in the vehicle you have indicated. The documentation must be valid and current. We do not accept expired documentation.
- Vehicle Registration
- Vehicle Insurance
Please remember you will need to bring your permit/endorsement and driver’s license with you to the motorcycle test, along with proof of registration and insurance for your motorcycle.
Failure to bring any of these items will result in a document failure and you will have to pay in full for your test again. Also, note that all documentation must be legible – if they can’t read it you can be turned away as a document failure.
What if I don’t pass my motorcycle test?
You must wait at least 24 hours before rescheduling the motorcycle test. We do not give refunds for failed motorcycle tests, nor do we dismiss the fee for a second motorcycle test. This includes documentation/vehicle failures.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my motorcycle test?
To cancel or reschedule a motorcycle test, you must contact our office at least 24 hours in advance. If you call after hours, then you will need to leave a voicemail with your name, phone number, and a brief reason for your call within the 24 hour grace period, as the voicemail will provide the date and time of your call. If you do not show up for your motorcycle test, or do not contact our office 24 hours in advance, you will forfeit the fee for the motorcycle test and must pay again in full for another test. You may also email us at least 24 hours in advance for cancellation as well.
Can I practice at the motorcycle test site?
Legally, you cannot practice on the motorcycle testing site. Our site is only set up during scheduled test times. How long does the motorcycle test last?
Approximately 35-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Is there a limit to how many times a person may take the motorcycle test?
There is no limit, but keep in mind that the price is the same for each test.
What if I am running late for my motorcycle test appointment?
If you are 10 or more minutes late for a motorcycle test, you will not be tested and considered a no call no show. There are no refunds issued if you are unable to arrive on time for your scheduled motorcycle test. Please note that our corporate office is not a motorcycle testing site. The test site is listed under our motorcycle test registration page, in your confirmation email, or you can contact our corporate office Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm to obtain this address.
What happens if I don’t bring all required items to my motorcycle test?
Failure to bring all the required documents (listed above) will result in a failed motorcycle test. No refunds will be issued. If you are under the age of 18, but did not bring a parent or legal guardian to the motorcycle test, you will be turned away and no refund will be issued.
If it is raining, do I still have to take my test?
Yes. If you feel that you will not be able to take your test, you must notify our office at least 24 hours in advance as stated above to cancel or reschedule a test. In the event that the weather has provided an unsafe condition to conduct a motorcycle test for that day, the test examiner or our corporate office staff will contact you.
Please know: we do not motorcycle test all year. We generally start testing in April/May (depending on weather) and will go until July.
What if I lose my motorcycle test certificate?
For a reissue of a motorcycle test certificate, there is a $30.00 fee. To pay for a motorcycle test certificate you can do so by calling or visiting our corporate office. Once we receive payment, we can set up how to get your new certificate (it can be mailed or you can meet up with the examiner).
NOTE: We are unable to email or fax this to you as you are required to have the original.
Do you offer discounts?
No, we do not offer discounts on motorcycle tests.
