This is an approved crash prevention class for drivers 55 and older. This 4 hour refresher is for those who have already taken the initial 8 Hour Driver Discount Course and would like to maintain a 10% discount on auto insurance.

The program consists of various modules that focus on accident prevention topics which include reading and review, videos, diagrams, and a final exam. To access your modules, select the “Class Overview” box. The maximum daily allotted time is 4 hours. The Final Exam can be accessed after all modules are completed. You will not have access to modules after the Final Exam is accessed.
Participants are allowed three attempts to pass the Final Exam, with a mandatory 24-hour waiting period between each attempt. The minimum passing score is 80%. To receive an insurance discount, you’ll need to provide proof of passing the All Star course. Once we’ve been notified of your passing, we will promptly provide you with the necessary documentation.

Only licensed Minnesota residents aged 55 and older will qualify for a discount upon completion of this
course. Participants must possess a valid Minnesota Driver License and provide their license number
to enroll in this class. If you have completed the Minnesota 8-Hour Course, you are eligible to enroll in
this 4-Hour Course.
Accident Prevention classes are designed to teach and reinforce the rules of the road, ensuring you are better prepared for the unexpected. The program teaches various techniques to help you become a safer driver. Additionally, taking a defensive driving class can earn you a 3-point credit on your driving record and potentially qualify you for a discount on your auto insurance. All Star Driver Education offers both the initial basic accident prevention course and a follow-up refresher course, allowing you to continue your education, stay up to date with your driving skills, and continue earning benefits.
The Minnesota Accident Prevention Mature Driver 4-Hour Refresher Course is intended for those continuing their defensive driving education and benefits after three years.
